Relive the heyday of ³The Ghoul,² the favorite TV wildman of thousands of Clevelanders and Detroiters who were glued to their tubes late Saturday nights during the mid 1970s and 1980s. A direct descendent of Ghoulardi (Clevelandıs groundbreaking horror host of the 1960s), The Ghoul took the outrageousness to still higher (or lower?) levels. The movies were badhe was worse. And we loved it.
This appropriately odd-looking scrapbook showcases the Ghoul at his greatest, and includes rare on-set photographs, video captures, publicity shots, notable Ghoul guests, and actual show transcripts. It also features some rare, never-before-seen correspondence (mostly letters from outraged viewers and accompanying memos from overwrought TV station executives).
³The Ghoul² has recently returned to the airwaves and is now seen on WBNX Channel 55.
Ron ³The Ghoul² Sweed was the protege of Ernie ³Ghoulardi² Anderson, the man who started the late-night craze in this part of the country. Sweed continues to star as The Ghoul on television and radio, and is still in great demand for public appearances.
